Gore-Tex to start offering Bluesign certified laminates

In a recent press release Gore announced their plans to offer Bluesign certified fabrics to their partners for autumn-winter 2012. This is a step in the right direction for the leader in technical laminated membranes and means their products are becoming more eco-friendly.

The “Bluesign approved fabric” certification is not just about Gore producing with less impact on the environment but also that their own suppliers are also Bluesign certified. The whole product chain needs to be Bluesign certified to be able to sell certified products.

Gore is annoucing that 20% of their production for autumn-winter 2012 will be Bluesign certified, ramping up to 50% for AW 2013.
