After the success of the Static V, Klymit is now offering a 2-person version of its popular inflatable mattress: the Double V. It’s exactly like the Static V but twice bigger, and it’s therefore perfect for couples going camping.
The Double V is a good option if you’re looking for a performant backcountry bed for two at a reasonable price. It’s comfortable, lightweight and its rugged material – it’s made of 75D polyester – allows you to place it about anywhere you want without worrying about damaging it. The main feature of the Double V though concerns its body-mapped V chamber design. This type of design is made to limit air movement within the mattress. It helps insulating performance, maximizes comfort, and you won’t feel your partner moving next to you as much as with regular mattresses.
The Double V is sized to fit in a two-person tent – it’s 47-inch wide – and it weights only 40.5 ounces. It barely takes any space when deflated and you can easily carry it with its dedicated bag.
The mattress comes with its own air pump and it should not take you more than 8-10 pumps to fill it with air.
