The new stuff from Icebreaker this spring/summer

We are well into the spring/summer collections now and we’ve spotted some interesting articles from leading merino designer Icebreaker. Some new, some improved, all made of the same base material: wool.

The highlights start with the new Featherweight tees and tops. Made of 120gm Merino wool in a 90% merino 10% Nylon blend, the Featherweight range features the lightest Icebreaker has to offer. You’ll find the basic Drifter and the form fitting Aero tees as well as a choice of scarfs for men. For women they have the Willow tank, short sleeve and 3/4 tops or the Aero tank and short sleeve.

Then comes a brand new colletion of yoga-inspired garments for women. Following yoga’s design ethos of yoga, Icebreaker is keen to point out those are also great for going to the gym or running. For example, the Sublime Long Sleeve is a rather attractive mid weight hoody. Blending 97% merinon and 3% Lycra, it looks like a great after workout top. Lighter is the Sprite Racerback tank, 96% merino, 4% Lycra in a 150gm weight.

Spring/Summer 2014 is a bold and exciting season that continues our leadership of merino innovation

says Rob Achten, Icebreaker Creative Director and Vice President of Product.

Long gone are the days when wool was only for chilly winter adventures, today’s collections are making the most of its properties in all weather conditions. A lot more style, colours and models on Icebreaker’s website.
