Alpkit has 4 new technical jackets for winter

The guys at Alpkit have been busy adding some new kit to their collection. No less than four new jackets are available this winter, 1 technical shell and 3 warm layers.

The Definition is a technical mountaineering waterproof/breathable shell for harsh mountain conditions. It is designed to be a hard-wearing jacket that will keep you dry no matter what. The two map-sized hand pockets are well placed, above a waist belt or harness and away from shoulder straps. Plus they are huge. The two-way front zip, under-harm ventilation openings and helmet compatible hood, to name just a few features, make the Definition a top-end jacket for a very accessible price (£210). 490g in size M.

The Katabatic is a synthetic insulated jacket for active winter use. Filled with Primaloft Active Gold, the Katabatic is a lightweight and breathable layer that can also be worn as an outer layer thanks to it DWR treatment. £140 for men and women. 425g in size M.

The Alpkit Filoment is next with its new Hoody version. The same ultralight micro baffles down jacket with a hood for added coziness. It features 141g of 650+ fill power Hydrophobic down provided y Nikwax. £130. 400g in size M.

Last but not least is the Phantac Down Hoody for colder weather. It is filled with 200g of 750+ fill power goose down and should keep you warm in any condition. 550g is size M. £195.
