Black Diamond partners with Gore for Fall 2014 apparel range

Fall is probably wetter in most countries but that shouldn’t put you off going outdoors. To make sure you get the best out of the current season, Black Diamond have decided to bring in Gore to make apparel that will work even if the weather is not playing nice.

Why they choose Gore is not secret. Gore-Text and Windstopper. Two of the most ubiquitous names in the outdoor market.

Gore’s scientific and rigorous product development aligns perfectly with Black Diamond’s. It’s exciting to work with a company that continually aims to bring the most advanced technologies and fabrics to market, which provide the ultimate in performance and style.

states Tom Boyle, strategic marketing at Gore.

Most notable addition to this new collection is Cohæsive, a patent pending cord management system which will allow BD to embedded hardware directly into the garment. We don’t have much more details but Cohæsive will apparently be used in all Gore-Tex equipped jackets.

Look out for tough Gore-Tex Pro jackets and pants with the Front Point Shell family. Some lightweight Active products in the minimalist Sharp End series. Also Windstopper garments with tapped seams for better weather resistance.
