Edelrid announces multiple awards ahead of ISPO show

In a recent press release, German brand Edelrid announced the win of two ISPO Outdoor awards. First taking the Gold award for its Corbie 8.6mm rope and another award for the Beast Lite 12-point crampon.

Ahead of this year’s ISPO show, brands start to announce their award-winning products. Edelrid did well, winning two awards in the Outdoor category.

The Corbie, a 8.6mm triple-rated rope is the thinnest climbing rope in the world to be rated for single use. Judged to be an example of innovation in its field, the Corbie landed Edelrid the Gold award. The rope weights just 51g/m and will be available March 2014.

The second award goes to the Beast Lite, a 12-point crampon launching next winter. Designed for steep ice and mixed climbing the Beast Lite weights 680g and features an interchangeable binding system.
