Haglöfs Gram Comp Pull coming SS 2013

Haglöfs, the Swedish outdoor gear manufacturer, presented a very nice looking and minimalist jacket at OutDoor 2012. The Gram Comp Pull is the new reference for the company in lightweight hardhsell design.

Presented for the first time to the public at OutDoor this year, Haglöfs’ new shell came away with the OutDoor Award in the Apparel/Shoes/Helmets category. Selected by a panel of international journalists and experts from the trade and design, the Gram Comp Pull will be part of the Sprin Summer 2013 collection.

The jacket features a Gore-Tex ActiveShell waterproof breathable membrane in a minimalist package. Every details was carefully though and selected to keep the weight down without compromising on functionality.

Fredrik Lundberg, Strategic Design Manager. commented:

The simplest things can sometimes be the hardest to create. We combined all our experience and knowledge to engineer a jacket from just two pieces of material for the main body, which saves weight and adds breathability. Lowest possible weight combined with pure function was our goal, and this award is gratefully received as an acknowledgement that our hard work has paid off

At the end they produced a hooded hardshell under 200g which is quite an achievement and certainly one of the lightest around.
