Jöttnar is updating its collection for winter 18/19, have a look at what’s new

With no less than 11 new products, British mountain brand Jöttnar is expanding significantly this winter. A notable addition is their new Waterproof-breathable membrane, developed in-house.

Jöttnar as always been about making just the best gear possible, keeping their collection laser focused but leaving some gaps in terms of layers or usage. The new additions should fix that, providing options for extreme-cold, wool based layers and a new wind-shell.

But what has us really excited is the announcement of a proprietary waterproof-breathable membrane called SKJOLDR™. Until now the brand had been using Polartec NeoShell for its harsdhells but more options are always good and if the new membrane lives up to Jöttnar’s expectations, it will certainly be a good choice for outdoor adventurers.

Some highlights in the new collection:

Ragnarök

A richly featured 900 Fill Power hydrophobic goose down jacket wrapped inside a waterproof, breathable shell. Designed for big mountain ski and snowboard descents.

Odin

A multi-discipline waterproof, breathable mountain shell built for the harshest of winter conditions. Made from SKJOLDR™ in a burly 70 x 140 denier grade.

Heimdall

Blending technical performance features with luxury detailing, Heimdall is a winter weight, jersey-style Merino wool base layer.

Njord

A lightweight and minimalist hooded windshirt, made from a durable wind resistant fabric. A highly packable and versatile layer.
