Kershaw to Release the Taskmaster Saw 2

Kershaw, the innovative US / Japanese Knife and Blade manufacturer, has announced a revamp of their classic Taskmaster folding saw.

The Taskmaster Saw 2 sports the same high performance blade as the original, but now with a new improved handle.

The new handle has switched the finger grooves of the original model for a high performance rubberized gripping surface. This gives the Taskmaster Saw 2 a more modern look, while at the same time increasing the options for hand placement.

Great for the Backpack and the Toolbox

If you’re planning on going deep into the backwoods, carrying a high quality folding saw could be a lifesaver – literally!

Whether you need to build an emergency shelter, cut firewood, or create a splint for a broken bone, having a saw can really get you out of a bind. Worst case scenario, 127 hours would have been a much shorter movie if Aron Raltson had been carrying a Taskmaster…

What we liked about the Kershaw Taskmaster is that while it’s lightweight and folding, it doesn’t compromise on durability or performance. This means it can also serve as your daily use saw at home. Wherever possible we prefer gear that can be used both on the trail, and in your day to day.

Kershaw Taskmaster Saw 2 Specs:

The Taskmaster Saw 2 is a compact and robust folding saw designed with the outdoors in mind. It has a push button locking system to ensure the blade stays safely fixed while cutting, before neatly folding away for storage.

The Taskmaster 2 is coming soon, at which point it will be available to purchase from the Kershaw website for $49.99.
