Learn to pack lighter with Ultralight A-Z series (Updated)

This is no secret that the less you carry with you the further you will be able to go. With that in mind, some people have started to try to pack as less as possible and only the most efficient gear. Hendrik Morkel is one of those persons and to spread the word to his fellow backpackers, he started the Ultralight A-Z project.

Ultralight A-Z is a video series created to introduce outdoor lovers to lightweight and ultralight backpacking. Hendrik will show some skills, techniques and gear that will help to become a better, more efficient backpacker.

With the main topics of food and cooking, dressing and efficient layer systems, sleeping and shelters, the videos should provide a great starting point for anyone wanting to get into the light backpacking trend.

Ultralight A-Z will be available for free on Vimeo and Youtube for everyone to enjoy. But to make that happen Hendrik needs a little help with the funding. That’s why he started a Kickstarter project, where you can financially make a contribution to the project. 120 persons have so far committed some money and less than $800 are now missing to complete the funding round and get the project kickstarted.

We are backing Ultralight A-Z and so should you. Head to the kickstarter page to pledge some money.

Update: The project made it last night and is now secured. You can still back it up and help make it even better.
