What’s new from the Californian brand? This year, a lot of new women’s jacket will appear on Marmot’s collections. Technical shell users might appreciate the new Speed Light Jacket, perfect for skiing thanks to its waterproof, three layer gore-tex fabric. The Geneva is a Scandinavian-styled jacket with a MemBrain blended fabric (from Nylon, cotton and polyester) and Velcro cuffs.
Marmot’s new down jackets might also be worth a look, as they offer interesting products for both men and women. The Guides Down Jacket is designed for a good moisture protection thanks to its 100% polyester Ripstop fabric. The Quasar aims at providing an ideal mix of weight and warmth with its 850 fill power Goose Down insulation for only 8.4oz.
In terms of new equipment, marmot will provide a whole range of new items. The NanoWave 35 is a lightweight sleeping bag featuring a polyester shell and a Spirafil insulation. The Portola Canvas is a well-designed polyester bag with paddled shoulder straps and numerous pocket (even though the brand did unfortunately not communicate its capacity in liters). As for the Carbide 2P, it is a lightweight tent with vertical walls to offer more living space.
