New trail running collection from Mammut, landing this spring

Update to spring collections are in full swing and we are seeing a lot of new products released for the outdoor segment. Mammut are updating their trail running collection with no less than height pieces.

In terms of new clothing we will soon see a new T-Shirt and a pair of Shorts (men only), all made of VENTech, Mammut’s own synthetic lightweight and breathable fabric which in this case will also have an antibacterial treatment to reduce odours. The fit will be athletic and the pieces will have reflective logos to make you more visible on those night runs. Nothing super-exciting, but prices are reasonable, £45 for the T,  £40 for shorts and £45 for the long version.

To wear under those shorts, when the temperatures plummet or on its own, Mammut will release a ¾ Tights (men) with high elastane content, flat-locked seams and a mesh insert behind the knees for ventilation. £55.

Mammut also have a longsleeve shirt for men with mid length zip. Of medium weight it will be ideal wear on colder runs. No info on the material other than its fast drying capabilities and antibacterial treatment. Here again, flat-locked seams for better comfort and reflective logos. £60.

Last but not least are 2 new shoe models, the MTR 141 for men and women and the GTX version for men. Abrasion resistant fabric, lightweight and equipped with all of Mammut’s proprietary tech:  Base Fit, Rolling Concept, Mammut Gripex Sonar sole to help foot and ankle support. The aggressive thread on the sole should provide good grip on the trail. The GTX version comes of course with an added Gore-Tex membrane for waterproofness. £100 for the normal version, men and women, £120 for the GTX, only available for men.

Some good-looking gear from Mammut again, particularly the Longsleeve top. The shoes could be interesting as well if they are really light weight and retain a minimum ground connection through their sole.
