Rab’s 2015 Fall/Winter collection: a down jacket paradise

Rab is back with a new collection for Fall and Winter 2015, and it features a whole lot of new down jackets. The brand is bringing us a revised Neutrino jacket, as well as two brand new models: the Positron and the Electron. The Neutrino Endurance is a technical down jacket designed for lightweight ascents (with a water-resistant Pertex Quantum fabric, as a well as a hood in the revised version). The Positron is a regular fit jacket that can be used with multiple clothes layers, featuring YKK VISLON Aquagard zips. As for the Electron jacket, it consists in a mid-weight jacket that offers versatility with its Vertex Endurance outer fabric.

The other new down jackets from the brand are also worth a look. The Cirque Jacket is a midweight piece which features a Pertex Microlight outer fabric and is designed for year-round hiking and mountaineering. The Nimbus is a quick drying down jacket made with a 3M Featherless insulation. The Microlight is interesting for its slim fit and particularly lightweight conception, featuring Lycra bound cuffs, suitable for alpinism and for an everyday use. Continuing with the lighter down jackets, the Continuum offers low-bulk warmth but is still usable for mountaineering thanks to its Pertex Quantum GL fabric.
