The North Face: what’s new for Fall/Winter 2015?

The Californian brand unveiled its new products for the winter to come. There are lots to see, especially in terms of down jackets. 4 new jackets will be joining the brand’s collection. The Quince Pro is a DWR-coated, water-resistant shell that can also be used as a mid layer. The Continuum is a must for alpinism and really low temperatures. The Verto Prima is a more insulated version of the Verto Micro, made from Quantum Pertex GL fabric. Last but not least, the DNP is a sustainably produced down jacket that combines insulation (with its PrimaLoft Gold fabric) and high mobility.

For those who prefer other kinds of jacket, the new North Face collection will be providing some interesting items. The Himalayan is an extra-long parka which will be the ideal ally for winter mountaineering. If you plan on going out in a cold wet weather, the Nanavik is a product of choice: with its hood, waterproof shell and synthetic Heathseeker insulation, it will protect you thoroughly. The design of this 2 products is certainly appealing, but won’t match this 1985 Rage Insulated Moutain Jacket. Conceived as a celebration for the 30 years of the mountain jacket, its vintage look as well as the sealed 2L HyVent fabric might seduce more than one mountain-lover.
