Vasque to launch colourful spring collection

The hiking and trail running shoe manufacturer from Minnesota will be launching its new spring collection very soon. Featuring a revision of the successful Velocity among other things, the excitement will undoubtedly come from the Rift.

Up to now Vasque never really ventured into the colourful and retro style but when you look at the Rift you know that’s about to change. Marketed as a multisport shoe, it will come in no less than 11 colour combinations. Spec wise it’s a mix of super sticky Vibram Spider outsole, rubber toe and heel cap and nudbuck/suede upper in a low ankle shape which fit perfectly theĀ  fashion conscious hiker target. The retro style works, the colours are great, we think this is gonna sell. Available 1st Feb for $120.

Next is the Velocity 2.0, a sturdy trail runner with aggressive design. As the name suggests it is the second iteration of the popular model which adds a few different colours to choose from like yellow, purple, red and green. This is meant to be a tough pair, between a running and a hiking shoe and will have a Gore-Tex version in addition to the normal one.

The hiking department also gets a refresh with the addition of the Vista WP and Vector WP, classic hiking boots as well as the Talus WP (pictured above) and Mantra 2.0, both based on the same Vibram Nuasi outsole. The first three will have an UltraDry waterproof membrane and the Mantra 2.0 an optional Gore-Tex membrane. Stated prices are $130, $115, $155 and $125/$150 respectively.
