Vaude new waterproofs and more for winter 2012

Vaude have announced some new products for their fall winter 2012/13 collection. Most of the new range will be released under the company’s Green Shape label which guarantees environmentally friendly production.

The highlights are the new Aletsch Jacket, a 3 layers hardshell for snow adventures. The waterproof membrane is a Sympatex, recyclable, breathable and good for 35,000 mm of water column height. The Aletsch is also bluesign certified, ensuring it is produced following environmentally responsible techniques. It has a helmet compatible hood and waterproofed zippers but not word on weight. Vaude will also be releasing matching pants with the same features.

If you are more interested in softshells, they also have you covered with the new Dolent Softshell jacket and pants combination. Waffle fleece backing and long ventilation underarm zips for the jacket. Adjustable waist with removable suspenders, abrasion resistant reinforced legs and integrated gaiters for the pants. Both using Vaude’s Windproof 100 softshell fabrics and both bluesign certified.

Finally they will also have a range of insulation layers, down and synthetic, all environmentally friendly.
