ISPO 2016 : new jackets for Marmot

This year at ISPO, Marmot has been introducing some particularly interesting technical jackets. 3 new models will be available : the Astrum Jacket, the Tullus Jacket and the Aruna Jacket. The Astrum is a versatile jacket, efficient for most winter activities (climbing, ski, urban, etc.). Made from the new Thermal R Active Stretch insulation, the Astrum Jacket offers a good mix of warmth and breathability, while a decent amount of pockets has been provided for a better usability. The Tullus Jacket is a technical jacket designed for the coldest conditions. The fabric is filled with 600 Fill Power with Down Defender, to ensure a good insulation while providing a good resistance to moist. The most interesting point of the Tullus Jacket is that it can entirely be packed in its own zip pocket and will save you a lot of precious space. Last of Marmot’s new technical jackets, the Aruna is the women’s equivalent of the Tullus Jacket. It is also filled with 600 Fill Power with Down Defender, and has the same “pack in the zipper” ability.

In terms of urban wear, Marmot will be providing us with some stylish and efficient winter jackets. The Longwood is a men’s jacket with a removable fur (fortunately fake, as are all Marmot’s fur trims). The Nylon jacket features 700 Fill Power and 2 great cargo pockets. Two women’s jackets are also available in urban wear : the Clarehall and the Southgate jackets. The first one is an elegant king-cut coat, made from waterproof membrane. The jacket offers a mix of comfort and warmth and will come in handy with its numerous pockets. The Southgate Jacket is a shorter model with a retro look. But don’t get fooled by its vintage design : the Southgate featres the same 700 Fill Power than the other models, while offering a MemBrain waterproof fabric.
