New NexTex Particle Screen Facemask for Athletes

Facemask for Athletes

NexTex, developer of technical fabrics for sport such as TurboDry, have just released a Facemask for Athletes.

The facemask is made using a new fabric technology called Particle Screen which promises to offer extra comfort when worn for prolonged periods of time while performing strenuous activity.

A New Fabric for a New Normal

Facemasks have suddenly become an everyday part of life, and a new industry has unsurprisingly sprung up around it. For the most part though, this has been either for masks as a fashion statement or for superior filtration.

While normal face mask are fine for going to the shops, doing sport or strenuous physical activities can be rather uncomfortable. You get a hot and sweaty face, and your breathing is restricted.

NexTex are looking to solve this problem with their new facemasks for sport. Designed with athletes in mind, they’re made using their TurboDry fabric, combined with a new proprietary textile “Particle Screen”.

3 Layer System for Comfort and Safety

The masks combine these materials into a patented 3 layer system:

Will Facemasks for Athletes be the next trend?

We’ve already seen great innovation from Buff with their filter tubes. I’m a buff lover, but they’re too hot and restrictive for doing most higher intensity sports unless it’s really cold.

These new masks look a more versatile option, particularly for warmer climes like here in Spain. Indeed, if we’re still wearing masks next summer these could be hit with outdoor lovers and city dwellers alike.

No news on when the masks will be available yet, but you can see more details on their landing page ParticleScreen.
