C3 Carbon Powerlock & Compact: Komperdell’s new ultimate trekking poles

Austrian manufacturer Komperdell has just released a new set of trekking poles: the Komperdell Carbon C3 Powerlock & Compact.

When looking for trekking poles, Komperdell is a brand you should have a look at. They have a reputation for high build quality and reliability – backed up with a 3-year “No Questions Asked” warranty. And recently, they’ve just added a pair of new trekking poles to their catalog.

Made from carbon, they’re extremely lightweight and strong. They have 3 sections for ease of packing away, they’re adjustable and highly durable. The trakking poles feature Komperdell’s Power Lock 3.0 mechanism, that will help you pack them up when not in use. The new flap-mechanism has been forged of high-density anodized Aluminium – making it not only slimmer and a classier look, but its weight and holding power have been considerably improved.

The standard version is 140 cm high (68 cm when packed) and weights 214 g, whereas the Compact is slightly shorter (120 cm), so it packs down even smaller (57 cm), and it weights 190 g. Other features include:

Expedition grip short

Padded strap

Top part: Carbon, Ø 18 mm

Middle part: Carbon, Ø 16 mm

Lower part: Titanal .HF, Ø 14 mm

Power Lock 3.0 mechanism

Vario Trekking basket

Tungsten/Carbide Flex tip

The Komperdell Carbon C3 Powerlock RRP is £109.95, the Compact RRP is £109.95, and you can find them here.
