Mammut introduces new Bluesign certified winter jacket

After the Plano jacket, Mammut is pushing out a new Bluesign certified soft-shell jacket for this winter called the Plano Hoody.

The number of Bluesign certified products are rising in the outdoor industry. Manufacturers are using the independent standard to monitor their production line and supplies to decrease the environmental impact of their activities.

Mammut’s Plano Hoody is based on the same fabric as its sister, the Plano Jacket. The SOFtech material both jackets are made of is a 3 layers laminate windproof and highly water repellent soft-shell fabric. It can support a 10000mm water column, can stretch and resist abrasion and like we mentioned before, it is Bluesign certified.

The Plano Hoody as a very similar design to its sibling but adds a detachable hood, bumping the weight to 750g from the 620g of the Plano Jacket.

It’s available right now in 3 colours and sizes from S to 2XL for around £170.
