The North Star Lite down jacket is Montane’s answer to the very successful Rab Electron. Its specs on paper are very similar. The North Star Lite packs 215g of 800+ fill power HyperDRY goose down, Montane’s own version of waterproof down fill. All this premium down is wrapped in Pertex Quantum Y Yarn with Super 100DWR treatment. This means a very soft fabric the will easily shed water even after a lot of use.
The rest of the features read like a wish list: insulated and elasticated hood, high hand-warmer pocket to stay clear of backpack belt and climbing harness, internal chest pocket, YKK zips.
