Raidlight, a brand we don’t see very often on the news is launching a new hydration pack for ultra marathons. The Olmo is a range of ultra light packs developed with the help of Marco Olmo.
When you go for a long run you want something to hold your gear, water and gels, that will not get in the way. We find now in the market a few options of packs that are keeping the weight down, like the Race Elite Extreme 10 we reviewed recently. Raidlight, a small french brand specialized in light equipment for trail running and backpacking, is updating its offering in this segment.
The Olmo hydration pack was originally developed with the help of Marc Olmo, a veteran and legend in the ultra marathon scene. The new version of the Olmo 5L gets an updated front bottle holder for better stability and practicability.
The Olmo 5L hydration pack is the lightest in Raidlight’s range with 400g. It offers a lot of small mesh pockets, 2 front bottle holders and zipped hip-belt with more storage. The previous version was a whole 110g lighter but this new iteration does offer more features. Retail price: £79 / 80€
