Last Monday saw the launch of the AdventureFest, a film festival showing adventure films and documentaries in cinemas around the UK. Tickets are free and on a ‘first come first served’ basis.
30 cinemas in England are participating and it’s a unique occasion to see some of the best films in the genre. As well as watching movies, the festival will also set up live Q+A sessions with Riaan Manser.The South African adventurer will be sharing footage of his 37,000 cycle trip around the coast line of Africa and his 5000 km sea-kayaking adventure around Madagascar.
One of the most anticipated film is the winner of the grand prize of the Adventure Film Festival: “The Asgard Project”. The film shows Leo Houlding and his team tackling Mount Asgard’s north face, regarded as one of the hardest wall in the world.
