New Omni-Heat baselayer line from Columbia

Expending it’s range of winter clothing, Columbia recently introduced some new heavy and medium weight baselayers for the winter season.

Their key selling point in those new products is the use of Omni-Heat, Columbia’s own tech that consist of adding small silver dots in the lining, to reflect heat. So of course if you put that in a baselayer it should keep you toasty on the slopes. They also mention the use of Omni-Wick for moisture management in specific zones and antimicrobial treatment for odourless fabric.

Those new baselayers comes in different weight, colours (red/black, black, blue/black, stripes) as well as normal opening and 1/2 zip. Sleeves have a thumb holes which are quite useful when wearing gloves.

I’m not sure how this blend of synthetic fabrics and technologies compare to merino but on paper it looks interesting. They come for both men and women between $60 and $68.
