New Rime Pro insulation jacket from Mammut

With winter just ’round the corner, will you let lower temperatures get in the way of your outdoor fix? Maybe all you need is a good lightweight insulation jacket to keep you warm in your next adventure.

Mammut, the Swiss company, are releasing a new jacket for this winter called the Rime Pro. Following the current trend of making hybrid gear with different areas using different fabric, the Rime Pro is a versatile hooded jacket for cold weather.

The arms, shoulders and hood are covered with Pertex Endurance, a very water resistant, light and bluesign certified face fabric while the rest of the shell will be Pertex Quantum, the lightest option in the Pertex range. Insulation will be provided by synthetic Ajungilak XTI CLIMATE 2-phase which is said to transport excess  moisture and heat outside during highly aerobic activities like winter hiking, freeriding, travel and Ice Climbing.

Announced weight is a not too bad 540g (supposedly for the size M). The Mammut Rime Pro is available in various colours and sizes from XS to XXL. Currently priced around $220 / £170. Available right now.
